Okay let's try, a moody blue leaning to the dark side in low light. Now in the sun, super bright silver flakes popping through brighter blue high lighted surfaces. Yes it makes you look.
Mixing Ratio: 1:1
- Mix 1 Part Basecoat to 1 Part Reducer by volume.
- Consider Temperature, Humidity, Size of project and Air flow when picking reducer.
Coverage Information:
- Typically 2 to 3 coats with a Drop Coat if needed over Black Sealer or Black basecoat.
- Best coverage over Black and Darker Blue.
- Spray technique and pressure will effect coverage.
Sample pictured was sprayed with Iwata W400 1.3 @ 28psi, 2 coats of basecoat plus a drop coat @ 15psi over Black Speed Shape. Then 2 coats of Test Clear.

Preparations
- Wash painted surfaces thoroughly with soap and water to remove water-soluble contaminations.
- Use appropriate Cleaner
- Sand with 400 - 600 grit sand paper.
- Using other Manufactures Primers & Sealers, refer to their product tech sheets for over and under compatibilities
Mixing Ratio
- Standard Mix : 1 Part Basecoat to 1 Part Reducer.
- Standard Mix Pot Life : Up to 12 Months or longer
- Activated Mix : Use .75 ounces per ready to spray Quart. 1 Part Basecoat to 1 Part Reducer. Stir to combined then add .75 ounces of Activator per mixed Quart and stir again till combined.
- Activated Pot Life : 2 hours when mixed.
Application
- 2 -3 coats or until hiding is achieved.
- 5 - 10 minutes at 70 F with at 1:1 Reducer Mix
10 - 15 minutes at 70 F when activator is used - Dry times to clearcoat at 70 F - 1:1 mix is 15 - 20 Minutes. 12 - 24 hours maximum to clearcoat.
- Dry times to clearcoat at 70 F with Activators
30 Minutes - 4 Hours. After 4 hours,
basecoat must be scuffed and recoated
